Anhui Key Laboratory of green building and precast construction successfully completed the pseudo static test of reinforced concrete columns

The experiment mainly relies on the National Natural Science Foundation’s general project “Research on seismic performance and design method of composite thick hollow slab cast concrete frame structure (Project No.: 51878233)”, and carries out quasi-static experimental research on the joints of 12 reinforced concrete column specimens by using multi-channel electro-hydraulic servo loading system.

This test mainly carries out low cycle repeated loading test on 10 concrete columns equipped with hrb635 reinforcement and 2 concrete columns equipped with ordinary strength reinforcement, and analyzes the influence of axial compression ratio, longitudinal reinforcement strength, stirrup strength, longitudinal reinforcement and other strength substitution and concrete strength grade on the seismic performance of columns.

The concrete column specimens equipped with hrb635 reinforcement have bending failure.

The test is mainly based on the relevant requirements of the code for seismic test methods of buildings, using force displacement mixed control loading.

In the next step, the key laboratories will further strengthen foreign exchanges, actively carry out high-level industry university research cooperation, give full play to the scientific and technological innovation role of the key laboratories, and make greater contributions to the scientific and technological innovation work of our college and promoting the technological progress of the construction industry and the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure in our province…

Recently, the “pseudo static test of reinforced concrete column with hrb635” jointly carried out by the Key Laboratory of our institute and Hefei University of technology lasted more than 40 days.

After preloading, the load is controlled by force to yield, and then transformed into displacement loading until the specimen is damaged.

Hrb635 reinforcement can give full play to its strength advantage, and its hysteretic curve is full and symmetrical shuttle, showing high bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity, and good ductility and plasticity.

The test results verify the application advantages of hrb635 reinforcement in reinforced concrete columns, and provide an experimental basis for the application and promotion of 600MPa and above high-strength reinforcement.
