The Standard System for Fabricated Buildings in Sichuan Province, which is being prepared by our institute, shows that the current precast building standards are basically structure based, a small number of building envelope system structure standards, only one precast decoration standard, and there are no current local standards for equipment pipelines, integrated kitchen and bathroom.
Component standardization is the basis for the development of components, which needs to be improved urgently.

Q: As an expert in the field of structural design, how do you think practitioners in this field should change their thinking and jointly promote the development of standardization of precast building components? A: Structural design should change the design thinking and design method, actively improve the design process and information tools, and improve the design efficiency, so as to promote the informatization and intelligence of the entire building construction process.
As the head of the structural discipline, I adopted the cast steel structure scheme after the comparative analysis of multiple schemes.
It is generally reflected in the industry that the standardization of component design and large-scale production cannot be achieved, mainly because of the lack of positive design and reasonable planning in the early stage, resulting in a large number of special-shaped components, a large variety of molds, and various construction projects are not universal, causing serious waste; The low production efficiency of components affects the large-scale production and production capacity, which is also the main reason for the high cost of precast components and the difficulty in controlling the construction technology.
Q: As the director of the Design Committee of Sichuan Fabricated Building Industry Association, from the perspective of industry development, what hot and difficult issues do you focus on in the industry? Based on the standardization of component dimensions and interfaces, and according to the logic of component assembly, the standardization of component parts is built into the design schemes of all projects in structural design, which can realize the advance of component design and production organization, separate from the promotion process of specific projects, and thus shorten the construction period.
