In September 1970, Beijing Cement Industry Design Institute was abolished.

In June 1956, the Cement Industry Design Institute of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry was established.

By the end of 1971, the majority of employees had been assigned to six locations and units in Tangshan, Hebei, Handan, Shandong, Jinan, Yaoxian, Shaanxi, Huangshi, Hubei, and Xiaotun, Liaoning.

In January 1966, the Cement Industry Design Institute of the Ministry of Building Materials was renamed as “Beijing Cement Industry Design Institute of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry”.

In February 1980, it was renamed as “Tianjin Cement Industry Design Institute of the Ministry of Building Materials Industry”.

The 2000t/d new dry process production line of clinker of Shuangyang Cement Plant put into operation in 1993 is a national key project during the “Eighth Five Year Plan” period.

In August 1978, the institute was officially established in the northern suburbs of Tianjin and renamed as the First Cement Industry Design and Research Institute of the State Administration of Building Materials Industry.

With the active support of the National Building Materials Administration, Tianjin Cement Institute has developed a clinker production line with a daily output of 700-2000t/d, creating technical conditions for the development of new dry process production in China and laying a solid foundation for further technological development.

In September 1985, it was renamed as “Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute of the National Building Materials Industry Bureau”.

In 1983, the “China Cement Development Center” jointly established by the Chinese government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization was officially established at Tianjin Cement Institute, which was the only international cement institution in the Asia Pacific region at that time.

Following the vigorous pace of national industrial construction and shouldering the mission of innovative development in the cement industry, Tianjin Cement Institute has gone through 70 years of spring and autumn.

It is the first cement production line with international advanced level and self-developed in China, known as “China’s first line”.

In May 1979, it was renamed as “Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute” and established at the prefecture level (bureau level).

In August 1954, all personnel of the design company moved from Shenyang to Beijing to work, mainly responsible for the expansion and renovation of the old factory, as well as the selection and survey of the new factory.

In March 1953, the Design Company of the Construction Materials Industry Management Bureau of the Central Ministry of Heavy Industry was officially established in Shenyang, abbreviated as the Construction Engineering Bureau Design Company.
