Building Technology | Research on Modular Design of Prefabricated Industrial Buildings Based on Low Carbon Concept
The life cycle of industrial buildings is divided into the materialization stage, the use stage, and the demolition stage, among which the materialization stage includes the design stage and the construction stage.
At present, in the low-carbon research of the entire life cycle of industrial buildings in China, the focus is mainly on the use stage, and there is relatively little research on the materialization stage.
The research on carbon emissions of industrial buildings is also mostly based on quantitative research using technological means.
Quantitative research is an important basis and indicator control in low-carbon strategies, but the low-carbon concept and module design strategy in the design phase directly affect the carbon emissions throughout the entire lifecycle.
Therefore, this study adopts a qualitative research method to explore low-carbon strategies for modular design of prefabricated industrial buildings.
