Precast buildings are an important direction for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of urban and rural construction and realizing the industrialization of new types of buildings.

In order to thoroughly implement the decision-making and deployment of the key industry chain doubling plan of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, and promote the coordinated development of intelligent construction and new building industrialization, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban Rural Development has compiled and released the provincial standard atlas of precast building products and components in accordance with the idea of “new batch, revised batch, and pre research batch”, empowering the upgrading of the entire industry chain with standardized design of precast buildings.

In order to showcase the achievements of compilation, interpret core technologies, and promote application experience, this column is specially established to comprehensively present the highlights and practical value of the atlas, assist in the full chain coordination of design, production, and construction, further promote the deepening and implementation of the five modernizations work concept of “design modularization, component standardization, production scale, product scenario, and industrial ecology”, and make every effort to create a “Hunan model” for the development of precast buildings.
